So, yesterday was Palm Sunday, and that's what I'm here to post on ^.^
Palm Sunday is a week before Easter Sunday. It commemorates the day when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on the back of a donkey.
Everyone had been expecting a powerful king on a war-horse, but Jesus rode humbly into Jerusalem on a donkey colt, bringing tidings of joy and peace.
As he entered Jerusalem his many followers waved palm leaves (symbolising triumph, peace, eternal life and victory) and cried "Hosanna" which means "Praise the Lord".
Clothing was put on the road for His donkey to walk on, a sign of great respect and honour.
In Church, crosses made out of palm leaves are now distributed on Palm Sunday.
